Theatres, Anaesthetics and Critical Care (TACC)

TACC is responsible for the preparation of theatres before patients have surgery, and also covers our Intensive Care Unit (ICU), as well as pain management in our patients.

Our new multi-million pound ICU at Walsall Manor Hospital received its first patients in December 2018. It is an 18-bedded unit that has brought together the Trust’s Intensive Therapy Unit (ITU) and the High Dependency Unit (HDU) within the former West Wing main entrance.
