Maternal and Fetal Assessment Unit
The Maternal and Fetal Assessment Unit is located within the Antenatal Service at Walsall Manor Hospital and provides the following services:
- Antenatal steroid administration
- Blurred vision checks
- Electronic fetal monitoring
- Ferinject infusion
- Follow-up appointments for
- Blood pressure
- Obstetric cholestasis
- Pre-term spontaneous rupture of membranes
- Postnatal assessment
- Reduced fetal movement asssessment
- Severe headache asssessment
- Spontaneous rupture of membranes asssessment (no pain)
- Symptomatic itching in pregnancy
- Telephone advice
- Ultrasound scan reviews
The service operates Monday – Friday 8.30am – 6pm, and Saturday 9am – 5pm.
