Make A Will Fortnight gets underway at Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust next week – with its Well Wishers charity once again teaming up with local Enoch Evans Solicitors.
This successful partnership has been running for the last few years and sees Enoch Evans Solicitors offering time and expertise to support people in getting their affairs in order – with donations benefitting the charity.
Richard Neea, Partner and Head of Department at Enoch Evans, said a sense of community was important to the company which is why it enjoyed working with Well Wishers.
“Over the years we’ve been able to see for ourselves the very real difference that donations to this charity make to local patients of all ages who use healthcare services in the Manor Hospital and community,” he said.
“We’ve been privileged to visit a number of projects such as a sensory room in Shelfield for children with complex needs and more recently we were able to boost funds for an upgrade of the hospital’s Chemotherapy treatment room along with a refurbishment of the unit’s reception area.
“Make A Will Fortnight is an annual event that we’re pleased to be involved in because we enjoy being associated with such a friendly and compassionate charity.”
This year’s focus runs from 4-15 November and will offer a Standard Will written for a single person in return for a suggested minimum donation of £85 and a Joint Will with a minimum donation of £150 is requested. New clients will need to complete relevant identification and anti-money laundering checks too, a legal requirement with a £40 plus VAT fee.
Anyone interested can visit the charity’s website at Walsallhealthcare.nhs.uk/charity for an information pack or contact Georgie Westley, Fundraising Manager at Walsall Healthcare on 01922 656643, or email wht.fundraising@nhs.net.
Appointments can also be made directly with Enoch Evans Solicitors on 01922 720333. Callers need to quote “Well Wishers Make a Will” to be a part of the charity service.
Georgie added: “Well Wishers is grateful to Enoch Evans Solicitors for once again offering this service to our patients, families and staff.
“The charity raises money for items above and beyond what the NHS provides and this year we’re supporting Maternity Services’ improvements to enhance patients’ experience.”
