From a February Fair to an Easter Egg hunt with Bongo Bingo, boxing , a sky dive and a monster gaming event – there’s something for everyone in this year’s packed calendar of events being staged by Walsall Healthcare’s Well Wishers charity.
The next 12 months promises to be a busy time with the return of popular favourites – including Trust’s Got Talent, quizzes and a fashion show. But there are a number of new events too,
Georgie Westley, Fundraising Manager, said: “We love sitting down at the start of the year to plan our events calendar and 2023 looks to be another busy time for Well Wishers.
“Our supporters always want us to put on our charity boxing match, with the help of our charity patron Martin Gethin, former British Lightweight Champion, IBF Super Lightweight Champion, and local sporting hero. Last year’s beat all our records so far with more than £3,500 being raised for patients and families who use Goscote Hospice. It would be smashing to do even better in 2023!
“We’re also staging a cricket tournament and Bongo Bingo session for the first time as well as looking forward to celebrating the 75th birthday of the NHS and the King’s Coronation. We are also keen to hear from local fundraisers who either want to support existing events or put on their own and have a number of appeals they can get involved in.”
Well Wishers is also one of the Mayor of Walsall’s chosen charities until Councillor Rose Martin’s term finishes in May.
