Ant has Dec and French has Saunders and while Seb and Tom may not have graced the national stage with their comedy they certainly put a smile on the face of staff at Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust.
The pair have dusted off their best suits to host this year’s Trust’s Got Talent competition which encourages staff across Walsall Manor Hospital and its community services to step into the limelight and impress judges with their talents. Previous contestants have provided a range of entertainment for an appreciative crowd and singers, dancers, magicians and comedians have all stepped up to perform.
Seb Smith-Cox, Workforce Intelligence, Planning & Analytics Lead, and Tom Johnson, Quality Improvement Programme Lead ,are the much-loved hosts who introduce the acts and keep the audience laughing all night long.
Seb said: “Tom and I love hosting this event, organised by our Well Wishers charity, because it is a great chance to see another side to our hard-working staff, away from the busy wards or services where they spend their days.
“We have seen some smashing performers over the years we’ve been involved and know we’ll be in for another good night out. “
This year’s show is running at Rushall Labour Club on Friday 16 December and will also be a chance for staff to enjoy a Christmas get-together with a disco afterwards.
Tom added: “I can honestly say some acts have taken my breath away – we have some super talented people working for our Trust. There’s a fun atmosphere at the event and Seb and I do enjoy getting the crowd to make its feelings known if any of the judges stray into Simon Cowell territory!”
Tickets for the show, which starts at 7.30pm, cost £8 and are available via Fundraising Manager Georgie Westley in the Fundraising Hub at the hospital. So come along, friends and family welcome.
