2018 is a very special anniversary year for the NHS as it turns 70 years old! Thanks to everyone who made our birthday celebrations so special on Thursday 5 July.

Musical entertainment was provided by Compton Choir and also the winners of our Trust’s Got Talent 2017 competition, Christoph and the Nursettes.

Old photographs were on display and our staff had been busy baking NHS-themed cakes for our birthday version of Bake Off . These tasty treats were judged by the Mayor and Mayoress of Walsall who were joined by our Trust Board members for a celebratory tea party for all. Asda St Matthews’s and Darlaston, plus Skanska and Spar all helped us get this party started!

Our wonderful League of Friends also joined us, sharing members many fundraising achievements. And finally, one of our young patients had designed a special birthday card which many people signed on the day.
